Sealed proposals for the disposition of Town-Owned Land & Buildings at the former Town Yard site situated on Lewis Street, Buxton Court and Pearson Street, Andover, MA will be received at the Office of Central Purchasing, Andover Town Offices, 36 Bartlet Street, Andover, Massachusetts 01810 until the time specified below at which time the proposals will be opened. The time received will be stamped on each proposal and for a consistency of time, the time stamp clock in the Purchasing Office will be the determining time.

at the former Town Yard site, Andover, MA

The Town of Andover is disposing of 7 parcels comprising 3.4 acres of land and improvements located at the former Town Yard site, Andover, MA. This property is comprised of the land and all existing improvements, in as-is condition, to be conveyed to the successful proposer in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in the Request for Proposal. The successful proposer will be required to undertake any work required to demolish and remove the buildings from the site and any other site work after removal of the buildings as the successful proposer’s development plan for the site may so require, at its sole expense and risk, and to indemnify and hold harmless the Town of Andover from any and all liability associated with the work. The property is shown on Town of Andover Assessors’, Map 38, Lots 2, 3, 6, 14, 17, 18 and 32. This property is being offered subject to the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30B and M.G.L. Chapter 7 Section 40J regarding disclosure of beneficial interests.
There is a $30,000.00 Proposal Deposit required with submission of a proposal that will be refunded to the extent a proposer is not selected as the designated developer. An additional $50,000.00 Deposit will be required by the selected proposer upon designation followed by an additional $200,000.00 due at the signing of the Land Disposition Agreement. All deposits shall apply towards the purchase price as outlined in the Land Disposition Agreement.
